AWARDS

Second Place ECE Senior Design Project 2013
Kinect Arm

Our Senior Project was to create a robotic hand, that could be controlled by the gestures of a human hand moving. The hand would not be a traditional robotic clamp hand with an extending arm but rather be a realistic hand and forearm that would have all five fingers, palm, wrist and forearm. These parts would be a certain degree's of freedom, not as complete as a human arm would but of similar caliber. The hand and arm combination would also be more customized as it would be made from 3D printed parts that would allow for such customization. The actual control of the hand would be done so by servo motors controlled by an Arduino microprocessor that would get its tracking information from an Xbox Kinect. The Xbox Kinect would keep track of the target's arm and hand in free space and relate back that information to the Arduino which would then move the fingers accordingly.

PORTFOLIO

Ecuador

My roots humbly come from Ecuador, with both my parents being born there and I as well. Ecuadorian blood runs in my veins, something I am proud about. This allows me to have a sense of culture not only from an American perspective but that from another more faraway one that many people don't know but whose beauty always manages to capture the hearts of visitors.

Alpha Sigma Phi - Alpha Rho Chapter

During college I made the decision to join the fraternity Alpha Sigma Phi as a way to get more involved on campus and better grow as a person. Joining Alpha Sig helped me a lot with finding internships, learning leadership skills and just being a more all around person.
